It might be hump day but I’ve found myself inspired this Wednesday!
Mess is king! Lockdown is a good time for tidying up and rediscovering those half finished stories – but to tidy up, you have to have mess to start with!
Slowly, gently, we are emerging from lockdown. Like a caterpillar out of a pupas we shall soon be fully-fledged butterflies. But until then, we’ll just wriggle around a bit more and for a bit longer than we did in the first part of lockdown.
Let us remember that a whole generation endured over five years of war and even many more years of rationing. They did so without the internet, the television or furloughing.
This is very rough as I penned this while standing in the early morning sun.
Who knows, maybe this will strengthen me to start a novel?
There might not be much travel going on, but that doesn’t mean we can’t stop exploring. It turns out I don’t know about half of the beauty just a few minutes past my own front door.
Chris Cassidy, one of the US astronauts, told the Associated Press: “…and where were you when coronavirus was happening […] I’ll have my own interesting story to tell”.
