Beta reading FAQs
How much does it cost?
Beta reads for manuscripts under 100,000 words are available for £240. Over 100,000 words, please get in touch to get a bespoke quote.
How long does it take?
Generally, from starting the read to completing the feedback report takes just a week. Obviously, this depends on what else I have going on and how long your book is! We will agree a deadline when we start working together.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
I require just a £100 deposit to secure your slot.
What does the report cover?
Every report is bespoke to the manuscript but you can expect the report to cover plot, character, development and drama. There is a template available on my Ko-fi shop but I will alter this based on your manuscript.
What should I do after beta reading?
It’s down to you to digest the information in my report and make any changes. After that, you might like to consider a copyedit or another editorial service before publishing.
