About me

Editor, proofreader & writer

Specialising in LGBTQ+ writing, both fiction and non-fiction.

A little about me

After a degree specialising in education, I trained as a proofreader and copyeditor. Now, I specialise in editing fiction and creative non-fiction as well as supporting businesses to develop clear communication strategies. I am an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.

As part of my CIEP membership, I occasionally chair the Fiction Special Interest Group: a group of editors looking to learn more about fiction editing and to support each other with knowledge, expertise and additional training.

Outside of editing, I cycle, hike and climb whenever I can. But if the weather’s too bad, I’m behind a piano, flute or guitar. Or curled up with a good book, doing my best to not find the typos!

I have a lapsed private pilot’s licence and would, one day, love to get flying again.
